Headteachers Leadership Styles and Students’ Academic Performance in Selected Schools in The Ahafo-Ano South District in Ghana

The goal of this study was to see how the influence School heads' leadership styles on students' academic achievement in a sample chosen primary schools Ahafo-Ano South region. Three hundred and sixty-six (366) respondents completed questionnaire, which comprised six (6) head teachers, twenty-four (24) instructors, three thirty-six (336) students. found out that democratic transformational were main headteachers employed ensure improvement performance students as they gave room for followers (students teachers) express themselves encouraged them go beyond their self-interest embrace school's established objectives. Again, about 72 per cent explained style greatly influenced performance. Democratic ones improving rather than autocratic styles. To effective appropriate usage practices schools, recommends compulsory continuous professional development by Ghana Education Service; teachers should be able assess suggest order keep checks nearly daily basis; become Headteacher, training other achievements considered not only length service. Headteachers identify with potentials efficient school mentorship respective schools.
